Frequently Asked Questions

1. What if I am not fit?

All fitness levels, ages and sizes are welcome and encouraged to participate. The safety of all participants is essential in all aspects of all programs. It is extremely important that all participants listen to their body and only perform what they are capable of doing.  You will never feel out of place as my programs are uniquely structured for all participants to work at their own pace. There are a wide range of fitness levels and abilities that attend from the very athletic to sedentary and everyone in between.   However, everyone is expected to work hard!

2. Are there any pre-requisites?

If you are new to exercise you should consult your physician before starting a fitness program. Once you have been given the green light to precede the only requirement from here will be the right attitude.  I want people that have a genuine interest in actively participating in their life-long journey towards achieving their health and fitness goals. All Evolution programs are fun with many great people so we expect everyone to come and have a good time, BUT get an even better workout!  If you have an underlying health concern or injury, contact me to see if this is the right program for you at this time.

3. What do I need to bring?

Equipment will be specifically identified on the program schedule page. However, most programs will require an exercise mat (yoga mat), hand weights, comfortable shoes, appropriate clothing and a reusable water bottle.   Most stores that carry sporting goods will carry these items.

4. What can I expect to achieve in terms of results?

If you consistently attend, follow a healthy balanced diet and put in the effort, you will lose fat, strengthen and/or move closer towards reaching your goals.  You will notice an increase in your daily energy levels and a dramatic improvement in your cardiovascular fitness level. My programs include a multitude of exercises and activities that will help firm your thighs, flatten your stomach, strengthen your arms, increase your stamina, endurance, balance and get rid of unwanted body fat.  By increasing your metabolic rate (metabolism), you will lose fat and increase your lean body weight (muscle mass).

The goal is to drastically improve your fitness capacity…which will help you reach your goals. You will also share the experience with other like-minded people who want to make healthy lifestyle changes and get amazing results just like you.

There are testimonials all over the website for you to read to see what kind of results are possible if you are willing to work.  These represent only a very small fraction of the success stories we have from the participants that have attended our programs and reaped the benefits physically, mentally and spiritually.

5. Why should I join your programs?

You should only join Evolution Programs if you are serious about making a commitment to improve your health long-term.   You will participate in a positive, supportive environment with other participants getting in great shape, improving their health and having fun at the same time.  I expect everyone to experience noticeable changes to their body composition, functional fitness, self-esteem if you join my programs and put forth the effort required.

There are no miracle fat loss programs! (Sorry)  My programs are successful because they are challenging, educational and structured for maximum results in minimal time.  It requires you to actively participate in your fitness journey by interacting on a regular basis.  Results do not happen by osmosis, so your level of participation will determine the type and amount of results possible.

6. How are your programs different from others out there?

You have several options on programs to attend allowing for flexible scheduling to fit into your busy lifestyle.  The more often you attend the better the results you will achieve. 

My programs are incredibly affordable. Compare to other programs in which you will be charged $200 -$400 + for a four week session. Who can afford that?

You will be receiving hours of training and education for less than $10 per session.  Compare that to personal training fees of $40-70 per hour and I think you will agree, Evolution Programs are, by far, your absolute best value out there. Where else can you get hours of top fitness instruction, personal training and coaching in a supportive, non-intimidating environment with such a small investment?  …….NO WHERE!

Once I receive your registration you will be contacted to complete your pre-camp assessment and submit forms and directions regarding your participation.  If you do not receive this information after registering, please contact me immediately.

7. What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?

A health questionnaire and waivers must be completed and submitted prior to start of your session. If interested, body composite measurements will be taken to get an idea of where you are prior to beginning a session. At the end of a session measurements will be taken again for post-session comparisons. These measurements and all other personal information will be held in the strictest confidence.

I will record your weight, take circumference measurements, waist-to-hip ratio and measure your body fat percentage. We want to be able to measure your improvement. Don’t be surprised if you see a 2-4% reduction in your body fat and a loss of several inches over your first six – eight weeks! Remember, the more consistent you are, the better your results will be!

8. Will I be sore?

Most people feel soreness for the first several days. After that point, there’s residual soreness, but nothing you can’t tolerate. It’s part of the process that allows your body to adapt and improve!  Get used to being uncomfortable.  If you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not improving!

9. Who will be attending the programs?

People just like you….someone who needs to shake up their fitness program; those that prefer a group environment, and/or those that want access to the knowledge and skill set of a personal trainer but cannot afford to hire one individually. Many individuals need a jump start to their fitness or weight loss program.  Many attend wanting to FINALLY get results.

I have individuals that have never participated in a structured exercise program to those who compete recreationally in fitness/sporting events.  The majority are somewhere in between.

10. How does your guarantee work?

Attend all your scheduled session days on a regular basis.  If you are not satisfied with my programs, then I do not want your money.  I will simply refund your registration fee by mail within 21 business days of your written request.

If you plan on attending camp to reap the benefits, and then ask for a refund please don’t register.  I want people who are motivated and committed to achieving a greater level of health and fitness and understand that it is completely within their control to attain such results.

So, if you’re serious about getting in the best shape of your life, then this isn’t even an option for you.

11. What is a typical day like at a boot camp?

Each workout is intentionally different to achieve better results through muscle confusion while alleviating boredom and stagnation with your exercise regime. You can expect some moderate running, resistance training, stretching, core training, agility and/or plyometric drills and many other activities each week. Exercises target the whole body. Increased strength, cardiovascular health, endurance, flexibility and overall well-being are just some of the benefits of our programs. You will always have fun while being challenged more than you would ever challenge yourself.  Remember, this is a group exercise program and you will be performing the exercises right along side other participants.

My unique programs are under my direct supervision bringing you years of experience in the industry. I know what works and more importantly what doesn’t. You will have access to me whenever you have questions.  I am here to help you get in shape, reach your goals and feel better about yourself! 

You will be exposed to exercises you have never heard of and ones you’ve probably avoided at all costs…there is something for everyone!  The goal….to help you reach your goals!!

12. How soon will I see results?

Your performance will improve right away. Depending on your commitment level, diet and effort level, it’s common to see a client drop 2-4% in body fat within the first 6 week session. Read the testimonials on the website to see what others have experienced. 

Remember, everyone’s body is different so your results will differ!  Everyone is expected to progress, regardless of where you are starting.  If you are not getting the results, check in with yourself and ask, “Am I putting in the effort I should?” ”Is my commitment where it should be…have I missed workouts?” or “Am I following what has been suggested to maximize my results!

The participants that have seen TOTAL body transformations commit to coming 2-3 times weekly work really hard when they attend, watch their diet and engage in other forms of exercise outside of our programs.

HARD WORK +COMMITMENT + DETERMINATION = RESULTS…….PERIOD!!

13. For the Outdoor Programs what about the weather?

If it rains…..we get wet.

In cold temperatures we dress for the elements. Participants remain moving and tend to delayer as they get very warm. 

In hotter temperatures we seek shade whenever possible, hydrate frequently and take breaks more often.

14. Are classes ever cancelled?

Only in extreme circumstances that are beyond our control. Like the weather (lightning, thunder, torrential down pour, freezing rain) or an unforeseen emergency.  I am dedicated to ensuring all my programs run consistently as scheduled and respect the commitment my participants have made to attending on a regular basis.

If a session is cancelled an email will be sent a minimum of 1 hour before the start of a program indicating the reason. Because the sessions run continuously you will not lose out on a class. You will also have the option to attend a program on another day to get your workout in.

15. What if I am not sure if I will like a program or if it is for me?

All NEW participants are welcome (and encouraged) to attend a free trial class. I want to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience. I am so confident in the quality and uniqueness of my programs and the experience you will have that you will want to register right away.

16. How do I register for a camp?

All registrations are done through the website on line and emailed directly to me. I will respond within 24 hours to confirm your registration. If you have not received a response within 48 hours please contact me again.

17. What about payment?

Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, Master Card,cash, cheque (payable to Evolution Fitness). Payment is due the first day in which you begin your package.  There will be a $25.00 fee charged for NSF cheques. If payment is not received at this time it will be due immediately by the next class you attend. Participation will be suspended if payment is delinquent more than 2 classes.  Keep in mind that my livelihood is dependent on your payment. You are seeking out a service like any other business you would frequent.
